ABOUT THE CREW (PROFILES)
Andy Bowman,
Andy was part of the crew who placed Top 18 in the 2017 World
Rowing Coastal Championships in France. Although pleased with the result which
was the outcome of six weeks of hard training with a new crew, he and the rest
of the team feel there is room for improvement for the World Rowing Coastal
Championships in Canada in October.
Hayden Rouille,
Hayden Rouille, was also part of the crew in the 2017 World
Rowing Coastal Championships. A young athlete he has moved through the ranks
from the junior academy to World-Class rowing. He is a multi-sport athlete having
conquered the three-peaks challenge in 24 hours and participating in triathlon
in 2018.
William Le Quelenec,
William Le Quelenec, is team captain and was also a crew
member in 2017. Will holds a number of club records over a range of distances.
However his focus now is on 6000 meter rowing and World Rowing Coastal
Championships in Canada in October.
Chris Morshed
Chris Morshed, is a new team member. Chris is a raw talent
having previously been on the Jersey Sport Foundation elite programme for table
tennis, he spotted the rowers training and decided he’s like to have a go. In a
few months he has blended his raw strength and power with rowing technique to
quickly get up-to-speed with his more experienced team-mates.
Cox Mick Trehorel
Cox Mick Trehorel, is a perhaps the most experienced cox in
Jersey Rowing Club. His light weight, experience and composure under pressure will
be a great asset for the World Rowing Coastal Championships in Canada in
October.
